As we explained in our last blog post in November and on Facebook, we have faced major challenges at the Bra Shop over many months linked to the very visible deterioration in the outside of the building and securing the support of the Landlord to undertake the necessary works which remain their responsibility.
This lead to us being unable to gain access to our premises from 26 November 2015 or, of equal importance, answer phone calls and respond to messages left by our valued customers. It also meant we had to turn off the brashoponline.co.uk website as we did not want to take online orders which we could not fulfil.
However, there has been some major developments over the last couple of days and we have now at last managed to gain access to the building to remove all our stock so that it can be kept safe from the weather whilst we continue to press the Landlord to allow us to return to the premises and to carry out the urgent repair works that are needed to the outside of the building to make this possible for us.
In the meantime, with the help of our fantastically enthusiastic, loyal and hard working team, and our wonderful suppliers and other third parties upon whom we rely, we are finalising a short term plan so that we can get back open for business and continue to offer our Bra Fittings service which we know is important to and valued by our customers and local community, whilst discussions continue for us returning to our existing premises.
We will be saying more about our short term plans over the next few days along with contacting our customers who have been waiting for confirmation they can collect their orders. We are of course very upset that the challenges we have faced have not been resolved sooner and sorry if this has lead to possible inconvenience to our customers. However, we are committed to continuing to provide our valued Bra Fitting services and offering the finest quality lingerie, underwear and nightwear (not otherwise readily available locally) from our base in Morecambe.
As you know we have invested heavily this year in introducing new brands and styles, improved technology and a revamped loyalty scheme, all aimed at enhancing the shopping experience for our customers. We hope therefore that you will continue to offer us your support as we work to resolve the current problems we face and get back on track with our long term plans to improve all that we do for you.
