What makes us tick at the Bra Shop?
Our philosophy is quite simple and dare I say “old fashioned”. It is based upon trust. That is the mutual trust that needs to be shared between our owners, employees, suppliers and obviously our customers. All healthy relationships are built on a foundation of mutual trust, honesty, fairness and the respect that flows from it.
As a small independent family run retailer we have to keep asking ourselves “why would someone want to shop with us?” and “why would they not want to shop with a big retailer with deep pockets and fancy gimmicks and offers?”.
In answering that question we thought it would be easier to provide a simple summary to show you what we do and what we don’t do in the hope that it clearly sets us apart and helps build that all important trust. So here we go...

Strive continually to get it right 100% of the time even if we don’t always get it right 100% of the time! Every single day we are working on something new to improve what we do for our customers. |
Provide confusing offers or pricing. We try and offer great value all the time with clear pricing and offers with no hidden catches! |
Never recommend a garment if it doesn’t fit properly or is not otherwise suitable. We will always offer honest, fair and impartial fitting and style advice based upon years and years of experience and industry knowledge. |
Cover up a problem or mistake we make. If we drop a clanger we will hold our hand up and move heaven and earth to put it right and to ensure it doesn’t happen again. |
Value and appreciate the hard work and loyalty from our team and try to be a flexible as we can to ensure our people are able to balance work and family commitments. |
Try and avoid paying tax. We pay our taxes in the UK. There is no fancy tax planning done here! What you see is what you get and it is only right we all pay our fair share. |
Support local charities and community based events, activities and organisations as often as we can. We love our local community and are proud to be part of it. |
We do not use zero hours contracts, hire and fire or otherwise treat our people like a commodity. At the end of the day we can only be as good as our team allows us to be and we love them to bits! |
Treat our suppliers with respect, value the relationship and make sure we always pay them on time. Getting the right products (i.e. those our customers want) at the right price and at the right time to our customers is a team effort! |
Never compromise on quality. Everything we sell is of great quality. We will not buy cheap and sell high to make a quick buck! If you are looking for cheap and cheerful then we are not the best place to shop. |
We will always strive to be entirely open, honest and fair to everyone we deal with. Any policies we adopt will have these principles at their core. If you should ever feel otherwise then please tell us and we will do something about it! |
Use sales people who are good on the phone but have little or no industry or product knowledge. All our customer service team are vastly experienced, sell lingerie and underwear day in day out and are trained to offer fitting advice by the manufacturers themselves. |
